Faculty Wine and Cheese; Peacemaking Funding Information Session

Dr. Madeline Wake, Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Ambassador, has made several trips to Ethiopia to advance education for women and assist in literacy and human rights work. Dr. Wake will share information on the cross-disciplinary work CRS is engaged in around the globe. She will tell her story of CRS involvement and invite people to become involved with CRS through their teaching, research, or volunteering.
The Center for Peacemaking will announce funding opportunities that are available for work intersecting with peacemaking. Specifically, we will share information about the Rynne Fellowships (2 awards for $2,500), the Center's mini-grants for scholarship expenses (2-3x $300 awards), the Center's mini-grants to hire students to assist with research (1-3x $300 awards), the CRS lesson plan competition (4x $500 awards).
Madeline Wake, Ph.D., F.A.A.N., is the former Dean of the College of Nursing and retired Provost. Her B.S.N. and M.S.N. are from Marquette and Ph.D. is from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. She currently serves as a Catholic Relief Services Ambassador.
