Event description

Description

Online quizzes are not just for online courses, but can be used for traditional and hybrid courses as well. For example, instructors can enhance their traditional or hybrid course by providing practice online quizzes to prepare students for higher stake exams. Additionally, images and videos can be included in the questions and answers to improve student engagement.

In this session, we'll cover:

  • Basic online quiz creation using a variety of question types.
  • Tips and tricks for quiz options, such as allowing multiple attempts and releasing results to students based on certain criteria.
  • Creative ways to use question banks.
  • Quiz analytics options to help faculty recognize questions that may be poor discriminators of student performance.

Special Note:

Instructors are encouraged to bring their own laptop computers. Academic Technology will have limited Dell PC laptops on hand as well.

Important - This 2-hour focused session is intended for those instructors who have already attended the Canvas Basics training session. If you need to attend the Canvas Basics training session - email canvaslms@colum.edu for the next available dates.
