Event description

Description

On Tuesday, April 18th, we will have our April Faculty Technology Showcase. This will be a short luncheon when faculty can gather together for a delicious meal, while sharing and learning. Lunch will begin at 12:00 and presentations will begin at 12:30.

In our April showcase, we feature a relatively new concept: Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL). COIL courses can pair up U.S. and international classrooms for projects extending through part or all of the semester. COIL is most often used to supplement face to face courses, and includes using online tools to join the classes together for real-world learning. This session will be facilitated by Denise Shaver and Janine Lim who attended the COIL conference in 2016. Come be inspired by what other schools are doing! Imagine how we could extend learning for our students with our sister institutions around the world!
