Event description

Description

This lunch and learn series is an opportunity for faculty and advisors to get together to gather and share information to support students through advising.

This series is intended to support full-time faculty who are currently, or considering, providing advising support to their program students. You can attend all three events or pick the topic that best suits your interest.

Space is limited so reserve your seat now!

Spring Topics

January 26: We'll kick off the spring series with a meet and greet so faculty, retention and academic advisors can begin to put names with faces. The remainder of the time will be spengt in small-group discussion looking at advising scenarios.

February 16: This session will focus on the transfer credit process at Madison College including what students need to do, how faculty and advisors can support a student trying to get transfer credit awarded and how the bachelor waiver supports/impacts specific AAA/AAS programs.

March 2: The spring series will wrap-up with a look at program revisions and how changes in degree requirements can impact student's time to completion. We'll also learn more about the different type of advisement reports (degree progress) that faculty and advisors use to help students determine if changing their program or program requirements makes sense.
