Event description

Description

Presented By: Officer Candace Dorsey

This course will discuss the definitions, myths, and facts surrounding sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, consent, etc. while also looking at the interviewing, investigations & evidence for court purposes, why & how police respond, the reporting system, and the criminal process.

Why you should attend: Responsible employees are persons who have the authority to take action or who have been given the duty to report incidents of sexual misconduct, domestic violence and stalking to the Title IX Coordinator or whom a student could reasonably believe has the authority or duty. Every EMU employee is considered an "responsible employee", except those who are licensed mental health care providers (e.g. CAPS).
