Event description

Description

Free workshop, lunch will be provided

This interactive workshop will help participants face racism and consider ways we, as followers of Jesus, can disrupt racism and work for racial equity. We will explore our own experiences related to race, the systemic nature of racism, power, and privilege, and will learn about the tools and resources for disrupting racism and engaging in antiracism work. A conversation about next steps for First Presbyterian Church will also be discussed. We encourage everyone to join us for this important discussion.

Co-facilitated by The Rev. Dr. Derrick McQueen, pastor, St. James Presbyterian Church and The Rev. W. Mark Koenig, Coordinator for Racial and Intercultural Justice, PC(USA) Presbyterian Mission Agency.
