Event description

Description

This is a intermediate class offered to those who have some knowledge about sociocracy but would like to focus on meeting faciliation.

We will have a thorough look at meetings, sociocratic practice for policy and operational meetings, and what the typical stumbling blocks are.

Meeting days:

  • May 8, 10am Pacific, 1.00 pm Eastern, 19:00 Central European
  • May 15, 10am Pacific, 1.00 pm Eastern, 19:00 Central European
  • May 22, 10am Pacific, 1.00 pm Eastern, 19:00 Central European
See the meeting time in other time zones
  • If you can't make this meeting time, check our events page for other classes.

Topics:

  • Planning meetings
  • Meeting format
  • Generating policy & consent process
  • Creating clarity in meetings (when our aim is not clear, when the next step is not clear, when our process is not clear)

While there will be some exercises and demonstration, this class is not intended to be a practice session but to offer clear and applicable information to experiment in meetings in the participants’ own organizations.

All teaching will be aligned with the sociocracy handbook Many Voices One Song published by Ted Rau and Jerry Koch-Gonzalez in June 2018. It will be taught by Ted.

There will be time for questions; participants can team up to practice outside of sessions.
