New York, NY- June 3, 2014- Face2face Africa, the premier pan-African media company, will launch its three-day annual Pan-African Weekend (F2FA) in New York City on July 25-27. Face2face Africa (F2FA) is a fast-growing media group that is re-branding Africa and fostering a technologically interconnected generation of people worldwide who have a shared-ancestry and interest in Africa.

F2FA Weekend is an extension of Face2face Africa’s annual F.A.C.E. List Awards, where notable individuals who have made a tremendous impact on the pan-African community are recognized for their achievements .

The Weekend kicks off on Friday, July 25, with the Young Africans Committed to Excellence (YACE) Generation NeXt Master Class, where some of Africa’s brightest and most promising young visionaries will be honored with this year’s YACE Award. Awardees will share their inspirational journey to success and their vision for Africa. Following the Master Class, attendees, professionals, and business leaders will network and mingle at a professional networking mixer.

On Saturday, July 26, the F.A.C.E. List, a preeminent pan-African achievement awards, will take place at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts at New York University. Financier Dr. Mo Ibrahim, fashion icon Alek Wek, orthopedic surgeon Dr. Oheneba Boachie-Adjei, Afrobeat singer Femi Kuti, entrepreneur Bethlehem Alemu and general manager of the NBA’s Toronto Raptors Masai Ujiri will be honored for their outstanding contributions and impact on the African continent.

The dazzling star-studded Red Carpet affair, hosted by award winning Ghanaian actor Chris Attoh and Sandra Appiah, host of The SA Show, will feature spectacular performances by SAMINI, RAFIYA and YAW OSEI OWUSU.

On Sunday, July 27, a Jazz Brunch will close out The Weekend festivities. The brunch will provide an opportunity for intimate interaction with honorees, speakers, special guests and the producers and host committee of the weekend.

“Face2face Africa is committed to bringing quality programs that glorifies and demonstrates the ingenuity of the pan-African community,” said Face2face Africa Founder, Isaac Boateng. “From the young visionaries who are introducing innovative solutions to long-standing challenges, to the icons who have broken down barriers and made it possible for others to dream, we are committed to telling their phenomenal stories and honoring their contributions. ”

The Weekend is generously sponsored by State Farm and Arik Airlines.
