This year has been a challenge for us all. I am fortunate to have helped create this summer’s program, along with Meng-Hsuan Wu for Rainey Institute. I am also very glad you all have chosen to continue to participate in the creation of the film documenting the program and giving us a chance to share in your lives during this challenging time. The filmmaker, Matilda Washington, and I would like to truly express our gratitude as we prepare to move into our final phase in this process. During this Fall semester, we will be connecting to the participants to interview them about their experiences in school. These interviews will be between the filmmaker, one or more of the teachers at Rainey Institute, and the parents on a Zoom platform. They will be recorded sessions to be used in the feature-length documentary.
*We hope for 30-40-minute sessions on Wednesday evenings and or Saturdays to conclude before Thanksgiving Break.
