FAB23 Bhutan is an immersive, 14-day, techno-social innovation conference. Gathering local and global communities, the conference provides a place and a platform for exchange and collaboration, fostering connections and partnerships to shape a sustainable future.
Fab Lab users and stakeholders can showcase their projects, exchange best practices, and explore new opportunities for collaboration. The conference features keynote speakers, panel discussions, workshops, and exhibitions, as well as opportunities for networking and socializing.
The Fab Lab Conference is the key event in the digital fabrication community, attracting makers, educators, entrepreneurs, and policymakers from around the world. It is a forum for learning, innovation, and collaboration aimed at advancing the fields of digital fabrication, manufacturing, and AI development, among others.
The event features four distinct programs: the FAB Bhutan Challenge, the Fab Festival Bhutan, the Fab Event Conference, and the Fab City Summit. We encourage participants to join all 14 days of the conference.
FAB23 Bhutan attracts a diverse range of innovators, activists, techies, specialists, and generalists. This is the place for you if you are:
- interested in meeting new people, creating cool things, and engaging with the digital fabrication world; and
- inspired to respond to global challenges facing our world in the context of a local culture and explore new models for addressing complex issues through hands-on learning and experience.
Known as the "Land of the Thunder Dragon," Bhutan is a unique and culturally rich country that has preserved its traditions and identity while embracing modern development. Bhutan is committed to sustainable development and environmental conservation. The government has prioritized conservation efforts, with over 70% of the country covered in forests and strict laws in place to protect the environment.
Join us this year for FAB23 Bhutan: Designing Resilient Futures, aiming to boost the transformation of the kingdom's economy through the hybridization of local and global knowledge.
