Many parents and educators are concerned about our youth’s reading, writing, personal development and leadership abilities. Within these areas our program is structured with students being expected to learn to read and write in a manner in which they express themselves in a clear concise way. This is done by introducing new vocabulary words to aide them in using more vivid, descriptive and exciting words. Students will learn how to research, prepare and write essays. They will pick a topic which must be approved by the instructor, brainstorm ideas, and come up with a compelling introduction, informative and engaging body and a powerful conclusion that reiterates the essay and leaves the audience wanting to hear more.
In order to measure student comprehension they will be evaluated on the oral presentation of their written essay. This part of the program offers development and or enhancement of the leadership ability within the student.
Intertwined in the program is our mentoring segment which helps with personal development. The strategic training and techniques the student receives are invaluable and will last a lifetime. The skills will help with overcoming fears, enhancing their self-esteem, self-confidence, improved interpersonal skills and strong positive relationships with parents, guardians, teachers and peers.
