At the core of the Simraceway Performance Driving Center program is the modern and relevant teaching platform, the Formula 3 based SRW-F3 racecar. This sophisticated vehicle demands top of the line curriculum and instruction. To achieve this we have attained some of the best instructors in the world. Our instructors are still extremely active and race all over the country. So with an industry leading instructor to student ratio of one for every three students, along with small class sizes, the School of Racing offers greater one-on-one time to address your specific needs. School of Racing Stage V is where all your skills and techniques get put to the final test as we go through a race weekend simulation including practice, qualifying, practice starts, and competing in a full length Formula 3 race. Full data after each session and high level instruction will have you more than ready for a progression to the real racing world. FAQS 1. Do I need my driver’s license to race one of your SRW-F3s? No, a license is not required. In fact, our racing school is open to drivers 14 years and older. Please check with a racing consultant if you want to race, but don’t meet the normal age requirement. 2. Is the School of Racing only for racers who want to make a career out of racing? No, the School of Racing is a great course for anyone from the novice to the seasoned veteran. The skills taught in any of our courses will help on the track as well as in every day driving. These courses do not have any age maximum, as long as you have a clean bill of health. 3. Can I bring my own equipment? Yes, but your driving suit needs to be a minimum of 2-layer nomex, and your helmet must meet current Snell approval. If you need racing shoes, they are provided to you at no charge, but please make arrangements with a racing consultant at time of registering. 4. Can I bring spectators? Yes, you can bring your fans to watch or take photos for you. If they want to be included for your breakfast and lunch, there will be a nominal fee required, and please let us know upon enrollment registration so the catering can be set-up in advance. 5. How do I get my SCCA license? You are eligible for an SCCA racing license upon successful completion of Stage 1 & 2 School of Racing courses. Once you have completed the courses, you can request an application from your racing consultant, and they will help you through the process. 6. Can I mount my own camera to the car for my course? Yes, there are selected cameras that can be used on our car. Please check with a racing consultant for additional information.
