Portrait sculpture course.
This 8 class plus 8 studio course will fundamentally outline Frank Porcu's process of portrait sculpture. Join him! For the first time ever, he will lecture and demonstrate his philosophies on:
•How he begins a commission.
•Assessing the sitter.
•Armature design construction.
•Cranio- facial bone analysis and translation from universals of anatomy to particulars of the sitter.
•Measuring from life.
•Extrapolation of 3/D form from 2/D reference.
•Soft tissues: their laws and characteristics, (i.e. Muscles, cartilage, etc.)
•The hallmarks & laws of hair.
•Design, composition and gesture.
Students will be provided with ALL materials necessary to sculpt their own portrait. (Tools, armature & clay included).
• 8 -3 hour classes 8 -3 hour studio sessions with all materials included-
•At the end of the course students will also be given a DVD with pictures of their weekly process with instructor comments.
•Storage and uninstructed studio time will be provided.
•Classes will be held on consecutive Monday evenings at the:

•Starts November 7 through December 19 and last day of class will be held on a day that is agreed upon by entire class due to the Christmas holiday.
