Learn how to leverage the myriad of business and career opportunities arising from the Belt and Road Initiative with Anselm Chu, Managing Director of the Singapore (Cambodia) International Academy (a wholly-owned subsidiary of SIM Group).

Anselm will share pointers on planning for careers in China and Cambodia, as well as insights into managing multi-country businesses based on his experience in regional roles for various MNCs in ASEAN countries and China.

About the Speaker
Anselm Chu is the Managing Director & School Director of the Singapore (Cambodia) International Academy Co. Ltd (a wholly-owned subsidiary of SIM Group) and Director of Overseas Ventures, Singapore Institute of Management Holdings (SIM Holdings). Prior to his current role, Anselm was an Associate Lecturer at University of London (UOL) International Relations and Head of the Career Development Office at SIM Global Education.

He has spent more than a decade in the education sector and has taught at Raffles Girls School (Secondary), NUS High School and the Confucius Institute. Before his mid-career foray into education, Anselm had a decade of regional careers with American MNCs (MacDonald’s, AIA, RR Donnelley, United Parcel Service & Hertz Asia Pacific). He further worked for 6 years in China and has been in several key positions such as Vice President of Strategic Development (China and ASEAN), Macckly Executive Consultancy; Programme Director (International), College of International Education, Shandong University; and Deputy Group CEO & Chief International Education Officer, Deming Education Investment Group (Guangzhou, China).

Anselm has also contributed to society through his voluntary youth service as the National Chairman of the People’s Association Youth Movement; Vice President, ASEAN Youth Council; Director, Regional Advisory Board, Commonwealth Youth Asia Centre; and Founder of Global Youth Congress.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science & History from the National University of Singapore; Master of Arts in Contemporary China from Nanyang Technological University; Diploma in TESOL from the London Teachers' Training College; as well as a Diploma in Training and Development from SIM & Institute of Training & Development UK.
