About this event
Registration is required via Eventbrite with staggered entrance. Three sessions will be held: 2:00 - 3:00 pm, 2:30 - 3:30 pm, and 3:00 - 4:00 pm.
- Obtain proper identification of different garden pests
- Understand the different types of feeding habits of various garden pests
- Learn about pest management strategies targeted at backyard garden system such as: Slug and snail management, Ant Management, Avocado lace bug management, Fruit fly management, Natural and chemical control options, Biological control/ insectary planting.
- Network with university faculty, staff, Master Gardeners, CTAHR Extension Agents, volunteers, community members, other gardeners from around the island;
- Come with your plant samples and gardening questions for Master Gardeners;
- See some of the active projects at the Urban Garden Center;
- Garden give-aways
Bring a canned food donation for the Hawaii Food Bank. Space and supplies will be limited. A UH consent waiver must be signed in order to participate. Wear shoes, bring water, and prepare for rain or shine. Registered guests are welcome to arrive and park in the visitors lot 10 min. prior to your ticketed session time.
If you are unable to attend your reserved date/time, please cancel your reservation in advance and at least 48 hours prior to your reservation.
