  1. December 3, 2017 Experiential Psychoeducation, Trauma and the Brain
  2. January 7, 2018 Attachment/Complex/Developmental Trauma and Attunement
  3. February 4, 2018 Emotional Regulation and Experiential Grounding
  4. March 11, 2018 Individualized Sustainability Plan – Self-Care Continuum
  5. April 1, 2018 The Resilience Continuum, and Post-Traumatic Growth
  6. May 6, 2018 Psychological First Aid and Crisis Response

*Each day will provide 6 CEU’s through the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists. All sessions will together earn 36 CEU’s.

Instructor

Odelya Gertel Kraybill, PhD, LCPC has worked as a consultant and trauma therapist for the UN and NGOs around the world. A Fulbright scholar, she conducted research in the Philippines, Lesotho, and Israel, that led to Expressive Trauma Integration (ETI), a multidisciplinary approach for trauma interventions. She has led ETI workshops for practitioners in the US, Canada, South Africa, Japan, China, Philippines and S. Korea. Odelya has a private practice for survivors of developmental and complex trauma in Metro DC and co-teaches a yearlong trauma course as an adjunct faculty member at the George Washington University Art Therapy Program.

ICS is a service focused community based organization serving the African immigrant communities in the Washington DC Metro area. Based in Montgomery County Maryland, ICS was established in 2012 in response to the exponential growth of African immigrants in the county and the need for multi-cultural support the new immigrants. ICS works to empower refugee and immigrant communities through culturally specific programs that help immigrants integrate into local society and become successful and meaningful contributors of society. ICS offers a broad range of social, family, employment, education, and cultural programs to the African and other immigrant communities in Montgomery County and surrounding areas.
