Event description

Description

Your child deserves to develop experiences in the recording sciences, but there are very few programs that teach it.

Collaborative recording and audio production for kids, powered by STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, [+Art], and Math).

Three separate sessions:

9 am-10:15 am (ages 7-9),

11 am-12:15 pm (ages 10-12), and

1 pm-2:15 pm (ages 13-17).

Simply put, we want to give kids tangible access to music production tools who are unable to dedicate time or resources to take conventional music lessons or play an instrument. Previous music or instrument experience is welcomed, but not required.

Children's Workshop for the Recording Arts (CWRA) partners with parents to help children gain valuable skills in:

  • developing communication by performing, composing, listening to music, and peer review/using physical and virtual instruments

  • developing self discipline and commitment

  • using voices as instruments/recording sounds and songs

  • developing musical ideas and exploring technology/operating various digital audio workstations

  • preparing for creative music cultural industries

Following the workshop, parents may sign up their child to participate in our virtual online studio by registering at https://www.childrensworkshopra.com.
