Event description

Description

Ever wondered what librarians do? In this series of monthly talks, find out what makes our librarians tick as they share highlights of their work from the collections of the National Library.

Art and exhibition catalogues in the National Library’s collections provide an interesting study into not just Singapore artists, but also support for the local art scene, as well as exhibition themes and subject matters across art spaces.

Join Librarians Nadia Ramli and Kong Leng Foong as they explore early art spaces in Singapore through educational and state-run art institutions as well as independent arts spaces through art catalogues held by the National Library. This collection forms part of Singapore’s arts heritage and sheds light on the art and social history of Singapore.

Free admission. Register now via https://bit.ly/2DN6he4
