Event description

Description

United Way of Greater St. Louis has partnered with St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson, Saint Louis University, the Incarnate Word Foundation and representatives from homeless service systems in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Charles, Jefferson, Lincoln and Warren Counties in Missouri, and Madison and St. Clair Counties in Illinois to continue an unprecedented regional planning process funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. We are being assisted by the Cloudburst Group, a strategic and national leader in the effort to provide innovative, effective, evidence-based and sustainable solutions for shaping the delivery of critical homeless services.

Service providers and other community stakeholders have been meeting on a regular basis over the past four months to formulate solutions that include:

  • Creation of more streamlined processes for preventing homelessness and for moving more people, more quickly out of homelessness and into housing
  • Improved communication, data sharing and collaboration among agencies and stakeholders throughout the region
  • Increased and integrated available resources to assist the homeless.

This convening will help us maintain our collective momentum as we envision and move to implement a lasting and sustainable, systematic approach to addressing homelessness in this regional community.
