Event Details

Anne-Marie Slaughter shocked women this year with her article, “Women Still Can’t Have It All,” highlighting the naked truth that the expectations on women to perform as a superhuman top professional, to maintain a feminine yet powerful (thereby masculine) image and to be a nurturing and multi-tasking mother is setting women up for failure.  Ms. Slaughter overthew the fairy tale of being able to surmount these 3 polarizing tasks and discussed the costs she bore to become the first woman director of policy planning at the State Department.  (Read article here:http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2012/07/why-women-still-cant-have-it-all/309020/)

Come to TAP-NY’s first of a 2-part Women Series to hear 3 Taiwanese American women with similar but more relatable stories – the choices they made along the way that have shaped who they are today, bearing the costs they bore; how they have tried and erred; and how they continue to figure out their dreams and maintain their livelihood.

Spark your self-development process and figure out what you find most important to make a conscious choice on your livelihood in the next year.  Women of NYC, it’s time to take charge of your life.
