It is often difficult to find enough people for medical research studies, and this is especially difficult for research designed to study people with a specific disease or from a particular community. This can be unfortunate if participants from the group that might benefit from the research cannot be found to participate in the research. One possible solution to this dilemma is "Community Agencies."
Communities are frequently represented by agencies and organizations that advocate on their behalf. But can and should these agencies facilitate connections between their constituencies and clinical research?
Identifying the obstacles and seeking solutions to appropriately improve participation in medical research will be the subjects of this forum.
