Brightspace is a tool for both online and on campus courses. Professors can use Brightspace to post announcements, upload handouts, and maintain grades for all courses. In addition, information in Brightspace can then be copied over each semester. Using Brightspace can increase course organization, help improve student communciation, and save time in future semesters.
This course is geared to help full time faculty and our adjunct faculty begin using Brightspace. The basic Brightspace tools that will be covered in this course are News, Content, Classlist, and Grades.
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Navigate in D2L
- Post a News Item/Announcement and Send an email to students
- Upload content (such as a syllabus)
- Create a gradebook
