Explore the Natural and Engineered Worlds of the Charles River
Saturday, October 22 | 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. | Teachers of Grades K - 12
Experience the Museum's newest permanent exhibit, the Yawkey Gallery on the Charles River, in this workshop for teachers. Through interactive learning stations and facilitated hands-on activities, participants will connect the natural world of river ecology with various human-engineered solutions of managing a constantly changing river system. Teachers will also explore resources on how to connect the natural world with the effects of engineering decisions.
Two teachers have recently developed an educator guide for the exhibit, and we will explore their insights for planning school visits to this exhibit.
Registration is limited to Teacher Partners and is required at least one week in advance. Free parking is available for this workshop.
