This course (MS-4023) is designed to introduce users to the free, web-based version of Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat, available to all Microsoft 365 commercial users. This AI-powered assistant, accessible via copilot.microsoft.com, helps users interact with their work data and the web through natural language prompts. Learners will explore how to use Copilot Chat to summarize content, draft communications, retrieve insights, and streamline everyday tasks—all from a single, browser-based interface.
Participants will gain hands-on experience with crafting effective prompts, referencing files and meetings, and using Context IQ to bring in relevant people or content. The course also covers how to use the Prompt Gallery for inspiration, save chats to Copilot Pages, and revisit previous conversations to build on past work. Emphasis is placed on understanding how Copilot Chat uses web grounding and provided data to generate responses, and how to verify and refine those responses for accuracy and relevance.
This course is ideal for business users, support staff, and knowledge workers who want to boost productivity without needing the full Microsoft 365 Copilot license. It provides practical guidance on how to integrate Copilot Chat into daily workflows, helping users get more done with less effort—right from their browser.
