Description

Join us at Dorothea Dix Park in an invasive plant removal volunteer activity. Invasive plants threaten our natural habitats for wildlife and create hazardous conditions along our greenway trails. Removing these plants allows native species to flourish and helps provide healthy homes for wildlife.

Please wear sturdy, closed toed shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Staff will provide gloves, tools, snacks, water and a first aid kit with insect repellent and sunscreen. There are no bathrooms in the park and no drinkable water, so please plan to bring a water bottle and come prepared to only have portajohns available. Walking in grass and up and down hills may be necessary.

Ages 16 and up; volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
