The historic home and studios of the Thomas Cole National Historic Site are open for "Explore at Your Own Pace" on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoons, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. During these hours, museum educators will be stationed throughout the Site to answer questions and provide information as you explore the Main House, Old Studio, and the special exhibition Picturesque & Sublime in the New Studio.

Please take note of our hours of operation on the day of your visit, as our schedule changes throughout the year. We recommend that you allow at least one hour to explore the Site. Tickets may be purchased in person at the Visitor Center on the day of your visit, or in advance on this website.

June to September 2018 Schedule

Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday Guided tours on the hour, 10am to 4pm

Friday, Saturday & Sunday Guided tours on the hour, 10am to 1pm

Friday, Saturday & Sunday Explore at Your Own Pace, 2pm to 5pm

Ticket Terms

Tickets must be purchased online at least one day in advance of your visit. Tickets are for a specific date and time. If you need to make changes to your reservation, you may transfer to another available date and time using this online system at least one day in advance. No changes or cancellations may be made on the day of your visit. Tickets may also be purchased in person at the Visitor Center during hours of operation.
