Event description

Description

Exploratory Data Analysis with AI Assistance

Bring your laptop and some data!

Come to an interactive, hands-on data analysis workshop for data scientists and data analysts.

Attendees will learn how to explore their data using AI assistance. Find out where the dependencies are, what matter and what's predictive in the data. Pose and answer probabilistic questions, and Interact with other data explorers in a collaborative workshop setting.

Hands-on exercises will use the Empirical Data Platform, a commercial implementation of the open-source BayesDB architecture from MIT's Probabilistic Computing project. No statistical programming experience is needed, familiarity with Python and/or SQL is a plus but is not required. Attendees must bring data in CSV or spreadsheet format, domain knowledge about that data, and past experience attempting to answer questions using that data. Attendees should register with a Google account or Gmail address for access to the platform.

The dataset will be uploaded onto AWS; following the workshop attendees may choose to remove the data.
