Facilitated by Sr. Pat Irr, OSF
Rooted in the ancient Christian tradition of Lectio Divina, Centering Prayer is a method of silent prayer that prepares us to receive the gift of the Divine’s presence with us. Centering Prayer is grounded in relationship with God and is a practice to nurture that relationship. It offers a way to grow in intimacy with God, moving beyond conversation to communion.
Both beginners and experienced practitioners are welcome to come together in order to deepen our experiential knowing of God through a journey of meditation and prayer. There will be smaller group discussion for beginners and then everyone will come back together to practice.
The themes for the year include the seven stages of Centering Prayer: Silence, Solitude, Solidarity, Service, Stillness, Simplicity, and Surrender. There will also be continued practice of Lectio Divina, Welcome Practice and Journaling.
$15/session • Pre-registration requested.
