HackMentalHealth is excited to present its next community event: Expert Office Hours for Your Mental Health Startup.

Are you passionate about a particular problem in mental health? Are you thinking of starting a mental health start-up? Do you want expert advice on your entrepreneurial journey?

Join us on November 13th to get 1:1 mentorship and guidance from experienced founders, clinicians, and industry-leading professionals in the mental health tech space from innovative companies such as Hopelab, Vinaj, SecondMuse, Headstream, and more! You'll have the opportunity to ask questions and seek guidance on a wide range of topics ranging from building out your business plan, getting clinical input, improving your user experience, and more - see below for a full list of Office Hour topics.


Expert Office Hour Topics:

  1. Business Plan / Funding: Receive constructive feedback to improve your business plan or investor pitch
  2. Scaling / Sustainability: Gain advice on how to overcome your roadblocks in scaling your start-up
  3. Clinical Guidance: Seek guidance on establishing clinical efficacy and implementation
  4. Inclusive Design: Learn how to design with intention and speak to your diverse audience
  5. Technical / Engineering: Get technical help or advice on how to improve your product
  6. Communication & Storytelling: Refine how you convey your company mission, values, and product
  7. Legal Advice: Get feedback on how the laws / regulations in mental health impacts your specific business

Expert Office Hours 101:

  1. Once accepted, each start-up will receive a confirmation email with more details on the event, and have the opportunity to select up to three topics. Each topic will be a 15-minute slot with a mentor (total of 45-minutes 1:1 time). Office Hour slots are first-come, first-serve, so apply ASAP.
  2. On the day of the event, each start-up will attend their selected office hour appointments and have access to additional drop-in mentorship and networking opportunities between appointments in the common Cafe area.

To attend, please apply by completing the HMH Expert OH Application Form. Make sure to have only one representative from your startup fill out the application form and indicate how many additional team members (max 3 total per start-up) will be joining.
