Event description

Description

Recent years have seen a proliferation of clinics in the US offering experimental stem cell treatments for a wide range of conditions. In this Ethics@Twilight session, we will explore the distribution of risk and responsibility that is accompanying the practice of selling stem cells.

David Brafman, PhD, MBA, and Emma Frow, PhD, will present on the topic of, "Experimental Stem Cell Treatment: Who Pays?," on October 19, 2017, at 4:30 pm. The discussion will be hosted on the Tempe campus in the Memorial Union, Pima Room 230.

Ethics@Twilight is a collaboration between the School of Biological and Health Systems Engineering and the Lincoln Center for Applied Ethics. Lecturers elaborate on ethical dimensions in their areas of expertise, followed by a moderated question and answer period with the audience.

Light refreshments will be served.
