Description

Join Dr Platon Issaias, architect and visiting lecturer in the School of Architecture at the RCA, along with speakers from prestigious world-leading architectural practices, for an exciting workshop on the Future of Work, Intergenerational Cities, Architecture and Social Movements.

These taster sessions are designed to give anyone thinking of applying to the RCA, an insight into what to expect should you choose to study at the Royal College of Art.

Full Itinerary:

Please arrive at 9.30am for a 10am start.

10am - 10.30am Presentation of the RCA's School of Architecture and its progammes and research pathways, with a particular focus on the Future of Work, Intergenerational Cities, Architecture and Social Movements and introducing the collaborations with the Municipality of Barcelona and Barcelona en Comú, the British Land/Canada Water, and the ongoing live projects in MA City Design and MA Environmental Architecture.

10:30 – 11:45am Roundtable Introducing external speakers from OMA NY, ARUP, Foster and Partners, Diller/Scofidio & Renfro), So-Il discussing architectural and urban design projects

11:45 – 12:00pm Break

12:00 - 1:00pm All participants to join in an open debate about design methodology, pedagogical questions and architectural practice.

Lunch will be provided at 1pm for any visitors who wish to stay.
