Expanding Our Power: Restoring the Right to Vote
Event Information
Description

Join Advancement Project National Office on August 8th as we host a conversation between Judith Browne Dianis, Executive Director of Advancement Project National Office, and Desmond Meade, President of Florida Rights Restoration Coalition and one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People of 2019.
Desmond is responsible for the introduction and passage of Florida’s Amendment 4 which restored the right to vote to 1.4 million people. This intimate lunch and learn will highlight the challenges, successes, and next steps toward empowerment in Florida and across the U.S.
In addition, this is a special year for Advancement Project as we celebrate our 20th anniversary! We're hosting conversations throughout the year to reflect on our wins, celebrate with our partners, and plan for our future. This lunch will be an opportunity to hear from a movement leader working to expand our power and make real change in our communities by restoring the right to vote.
In honor of our 20th anniversary, this year's event will be a fundraiser to support this work and secure our future.
