Time: 9am - 2pm
Place: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Venue: The Address Hotel Marina Dubai, UAE
Our objective is to provide a conducive environment where organizations can engage in quality discussion with potential new partners as well as those they are familiar with, on Reporting and Monitoring Mechanisms on implementation of SDG.
The IRI aims to create the first mainstream reporting framework for Corporate Sustainability and Social Responsibility (CSR) based on Islamic principles, and will enable organizations to inclusively assess, report, verify, and certify their CSR programs aligned with SDG.
The spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first-come first served basis – book early to secure your preferred location/slot.
Launched in April 2015, the Islamic Reporting Initiative (IRI) has rapidly gained momentum and support from businesses, governmental organizations, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions from all over the world.
The IRI , a not-for-profit organization, has the potential to be of immediate benefit to organizations in over 50 countries, being of particular relevance to members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC ). The IRI is currently in the first of three development phases, which sees the IRI gathering signatory members and partners to represent all sectors. Already the IRI has members from across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA ), central and south-east Asia, and Europe, so far representing business sectors from healthcare, finance, education and the environment.
As a result, organizations with IRI reports will present an understanding of their business and organization’s values and governance models, linking their strategies to organizational commitment to a sustainable local and regional economy.
