Getting ArtsReady for Disasters
Join us for a brown-bag lunch to learn about an online resource that will help your organization prepare for and survive a natural or man-made disaster. ArtsReady is a web-based emergency preparedness platform designed to provide arts and cultural organizations with customized business continuity plans for post crisis sustainability.
A crisis can happen when you least expect it – this spring the Orchestra of the Southern Finger Lakes (NY) was disrupted when a car crashed through the front door of its offices. Janet T. Newcomb, executive director at the time, said “This demonstrates how fragile things can be. There’s nothing in the handbook about something like this. ArtsReady could be a great resource for people in a spot like we were in.”
Mollie Lakin-Hayes of ArtsReady will lead this workshop which will help you understand what a readiness plan is, why it can be critical to your organization’s sustainability, and how you can develop a customized plan. Learn more about ArtsReady at: https://www.artsready.org/
