About this Event

Event Description

The Executive Certificate in Religious Fundraising (ECRF), a four-day intensive program with a practical application project, provides the research, tools and customized training to meet the growing needs of leaders in religious communities and fundraisers of faith-based organizations. The focus of the ECRF is on the cultural, organizational and philanthropic practices unique to religious institutions that in turn enable donors motivated by spiritual and religious values to experience the joy of generous giving.

Offered at Hellenic College Holy Cross with support from Leadership 100 and the Telos Project of the Office of Vocation & Ministry.

Who should attend

Religious leaders in parishes, faith-based organizations, and institutions who wish to learn more about the spirituality of fundraising and gain a core foundation in fundraising principles.

Typical titles of attendees include:

  • Clergy
  • Laity
  • Organization executives and board members
  • Development leaders and professionals at faith-based organizations

Requirements

1. Four 1-day seminars

  • Day Two: Nurturing Generous Donors
  • Day Three: Fundraising as Ministry
  • Day Four: Shaping a Theology of Money

Tuesday- Wednesday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Thursday 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Please note: There is an additional free workshop on Friday, October 11, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM: “Financial Literacy and Management for Clergy and Lay Leadership,” offered by the Center for Family Care of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese. Program Fee

$1,300 Early Bird Rate through August 20, 2019

$1,550 Full Program Rate on or after August 20, 2019.

A deposit of $300 is required to register.

The program fee covers all course materials, continental breakfast, snacks, lunch in the campus cafeteria, and one group dinner.

Transportation, lodging, personal travel expenses, and other dinners are the responsibility of each attendee.

Lodging

Please note there is an 8:30 am start to the program on Monday, October 7. A Sunday night stay may be advisable. We have a block of rooms reserved for $139/night at the Dedham Hilton, but there are many other hotels in the area. You must reserve your own accommodations. Mention "Hellenic College" or use code "HELLEN" to receive the group rate.

Financial Aid Available
