Description

Happy New Year AWIS members! For our first event of 2018, please join us for an exclusive tour at the Museum of Natural History on February 2nd at 7:00 pm!

Dr. Briana Pobiner will lead us through the Hall of Human Origins exhibit for a special after-hours tour! Dr. Pobiner is a paleoanthropologist and research scientist at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History studying evolution of the human diet. She will guide us through the exhibit and educate us about our unique development as human beings over the last 6 million years. We hope you can join us for this exciting educational event!

This event is free for AWIS members and $5 to attend for non-members. Be sure to reserve and purchase your tickets on the Eventbrite page as they are available on a first come first serve basis. There are only 40 tickets available so be sure to snag one quickly!

Street parking is available and unrestricted after 6:30 pm on Constitution Ave, 7th and 12th streets for anyone traveling by car. The closest Metro stops are Federal Triangle (blue, orange, and silver lines) and L’Enfant Plaza (blue, orange, silver, green, and yellow lines), both within walking distance. And for those looking to grab a bite after the event, Elephant and Castle is an excellent gathering place nearby!

We hope you can come join your fellow AWIS members for an engaging night at the the museum! Looking forward to seeing you there!

Thanks,

AWIS DC
