Event description
Exceptional Leadership and Heroism: Enriching Communities and Enhancing Lives: Third Biennial Heroism Science Conference

About this Event

We will be hosting the Third Biennial Heroism Science Conference at the University of Limerick, Ireland on May 7th and 8th 2020.

The title and theme of this international conference is "Exceptional Leadership and Heroism: Enriching Communities and Enhancing Lives". This is an inter-disciplinary and international meeting. The last meeting of this group included philosophers, psychologists, educators, entrepreneurs, creative artists, and psychotherapists. We hope this next meeting in Ireland will begin new conversations about research relating to heroes and heroism among diverse scholars. If this topic is relevant to your work please do get in touch!

The first keynote speaker of the event will be Professor Stephen Reicher (University of St. Andrews) who will be offering a group-based perspective on the role of leaders and heroes. Confirmed speakers include Professor Scott Allison, Dr. Eric Igou, Brian Riches, Dr. Elaine Kinsella, & Dr. Stephanie Jones. More speakers will be annouced soon!

The deadline for submitting abstracts (250-word limit) for oral and poster presentations is March 17th 2020. To submit an abstract or to ask questions relating to the conference please contact Elaine.Kinsella@ul.ie or Eric.Igou@ul.ie.
