Event description

Description

The sorcerer Merlin receives the sword Excalibur from the Lady of the Lake who forged it with her magic. They thrust the sword into a stone, proclaiming "He who draws the sword from the stone, he shall be king."

Excalibur, the 7th production of HaoExpression, is a movement-based theater play / performance inspired by the classic tales of king Arthur and his sword Excalibur; script by Serena Luckhoff based on the books Le Morte Darthur by Sir Thomas Malhory, and Idylls of the King by Alfred, lord Tennyson; set on the music of Carl Orff (and more), and directed by Bay Area based French-Vietnamese artist, Hao Bach-Thai Lueckhoff.

This special local event combines dance, acting and singing, with artistic lighting and costumes to marvel children and adults alike.
