About this Event

This webinar will interrogate what it means to teach for purpose, empowerment, and liberation. How do we leverage the neuroscience of now to help our students learn and thrive in turbulent times? We will also examine the theoretical framework and practical implications of trauma-informed pedagogy and social emotional learning.

Facilitator

Mays Imad is a neuroscientist and the founding coordinator of the teaching and learning center at Pima Community College where she studies stress and emotions and their effect on students’ learning.
