Evidence-Based Treatment For Anxiety Disorders: Overview Of CBT, DBT, ERP
Overview
This training is designed for providers seeking to strengthen their understanding of evidence-based approaches to treating Anxiety Disorders. Participants will gain an overview of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (E/RP),with practical guidance on how to integrate these techniques into their therapeutic practice.
Strategies for tailoring interventions to the unique needs of children, adolescents, and their caregivers will also be emphasized, equipping clinicians with concrete skills to promote more effective distress tolerance and emotional regulation.
3 CEs are available for NYS LMHCs, LMSWs, LCSWs, LMFTs, LCATs , NYS Licensed Psychologists and NYS Licensed Psychoanalysts upon completion of training.
Course Objectives:
Upon completion of the training, participants will be able to:
-describe therapeutic techniques used in the evidence-based treatment of Anxiety Disorders.
-design effective treatment plans tailored to a client’s presenting concerns and unique barriers to treatment.
-apply these techniques in work with minors and engage caregivers to support treatment effectiveness.

In accordance with the NY State Department of Education guidelines, in order to receive continuing education contact hours, a participant needs to be present for the duration of the workshop/training. Therefore, participants who arrive late or leave the event early will not be granted a certificate of completion.

Dr. Jaimee Arnoff, PhD is a licensed clinical psychologist and co-owner of BFF Therapy in Beacon, NY, where she provides individual and family therapy with a focus on adolescents and young adults. She specializes in evidence-based treatment for mood and anxiety disorders, suicidal ideation, chronic pain, and high-risk clinical presentations.
Fluent in American Sign Language, Dr. Arnoff is also recognized for her work with Deaf and Hard of Hearing clients and commitment to culturally-responsive care, accessible care. In addition to her clinical practice, she has served as an expert witness in forensic cases and sits on advisory boards for innovative digital health and wellness initiatives, as well as contributes her expertise to academic and professional boards. A frequent presenter, author, and podcast guest, she is dedicated to advancing integrative approaches to mental health care through a practical, skills-based style that empowers providers to deliver effective and creative interventions with confidence.
