Everything You Need to Know About Breast Cancer: Prevention, Screening & Treatment

It’s no secret that, as one of the most common cancers in women in the U.S., breast cancer is something all women should monitor their risk for. About 1 in 8 U.S. women (about 12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. And this year alone, 268,600 new cases of intensive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed.

We’re hosting a free educational event at Imbert Cancer Center, sponsored by Northwell Health Cancer Institute and Katz Institute for Women’s Health, for women looking to learn more about lowering their breast cancer risk.

Our experts will discuss:

        • Risk factors for breast cancer

        • Latest diagnostic and treatment options

        • Screening options and guidelines

        • Recent studies about breast cancer prevention

The panel session will be followed by Q&A and a Show and Tell. Light refreshments will be served.

These events are free of charge. Light refreshments will be served.
