Description

EveryOne Should Turn One: Infant Mortality Conference

Friday, September 22, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Saturday, September 23, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

Conference Goal: To inform the community about infant mortality; and build up and strengthen collective action to enact policies and take action to address factors that contribute to infant mortality at the systems, community/environment, and grassroots levels

The Dayton & Montgomery County Infant Mortality Task Force Team is engaged in a community awareness campaign to increase awareness of all aspects of infant mortality. This awareness precipitates the community’s ability to enact and take action on policies that address the factors that contribute to infant mortality and poor maternal health outcomes.

You will learn about the significant disparity gap and recommended prevention strategies.

Friday will be designed for professionals, health providers, and key stakeholders, i.e., physicians/ clinicians, academicians, and other professionals. Application will be made for contact hours for nurses.

Saturday will be designed for the grassroots community and providers serving particularly target populations. An activity room is planned for children.

Parking is available at the Dayton Convention Center garage for $6.

Public Health – Dayton and Montgomery County (PHDMC) is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Ohio Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (OBN-001-91) (OH-261, 1/1/2019).
