Event description

Description

Code is all around us.

*This an event for Teachers or School Staff who have an interest in implementing technology in to the classroom*

Learning how to code is an important part of the curriculum. It also helps to develop the essential skills needed for problem solving. We want to show you a fun and interactive way you can share coding concepts with the children in your class using Swift Playgrounds, a free app that gives everyone the opportunity to learn how to code. Mr. Bartonshaw will also be on hand to share his experiences of using the app in his Year 3 classroom and to answer any questions you might have.

Why not join us for a morning of hands on learning with Swift Playgrounds and work towards earning your Swift Playgrounds Apple Teacher badge. This practical workshop will give you plenty of time to get hands on with the app. This course is designed to help improve your subject knowledge and confidence to use iPads in your classroom.

Workshop facilitators:

Kenny Bartonshaw, Year 3 Apple Teacher
Paul Clay, Apple Teacher
Mark White, Apple Teacher

We will have iPads available for you to use and a representative from GBM will be on hand to answer any technical questions you might have about getting started with iPads in your school.
