POSTPONED DUE TO INSUFFICIENT STUDENT PARTICIPATION - DATE TBD

Over 120 Middle school 7th & 8th grade boys and girls from the DMV area converge at George Mason University's Johnson Center to find out how cool careers start with learning to CODE. Students will hear from subject matter expert panelists, then students will approach the microphone to ask questions. Lunch and light refreshments are included.

1) See an interactive demonstration from TechShop DC/VA Guru and General Manager - Gad Merrill

2) Learn about the Young Women’s Leadership Program which was designed to inspire the next generation of young women by bringing them together with women leaders in a variety of careers and professions. Founder - Congresswoman Barbara Comstock

3) Interact with a team leader (invited) from NYC-based Decoded Fashion, the top global event series connecting decision-makers in Fashion and Retail to new technologies

Teachers register your class online. Parents register your student(s) online.

DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION: Monday, October 3, 2016

Links with Parent/Guardian waivers, Photo and Video Releases and Directions to campus will follow in a subsequent email after registration. All participating students must submit a signed waiver.
