With the routine of everyday life, passion in a relationship can easily become dimmed and deadened over the long run. The day-to-day stress of working and/or raising children leaves little energy for being romantic and intimate with your partner. In addition, the familiarity inherent in long-term relationships creates a lack of desire and makes sustaining excitement for our partners a serious challenge.
So what causes our affections to wane? What shifts us from being helplessly in love to feeling hopelessly disinterested? What turns our passionate desire to boredom and dissatisfaction? And most importantly, what can we do about it?
Relationships do not come with an operating manual, so it’s no surprise that it’s not easy to sustain “the spark” after spending many years together. But what if you could have more passion, intimacy, desire and fun in the midst of a busy life?
Re-creating that spark and chemistry with your beloved doesn’t have to be a mystery. It takes certain awareness and skills, and even more importantly, a certain way of being with each other.
In this Date Night, you will learn:
- How to get out of the familiar and see your partner with fresh eyes
- Skills for moving away from conflict and towards playfulness
- Daily practices that support intimacy (and they only take a few minutes)
- The secret ingredient to re-create the chemistry of your early dating days
- How to attune to your partner through body language
During Date Night we will explore the typical pitfalls of long-term relationships and how these common ways of being dampen the spark of our passion and desire over time. You and your partner will learn powerful yet simple skills for reigniting the spark and creating more passion and intimacy even in the midst of a busy life.
Hosted by Gal Szekely and Donna Molettiere of The Couples Center, this Date Night will combine fun and playfulness with learning a new approach to communicating and relating to your partner. You will leave with new and tangible skills and techniques toward creating the passion and intimacy you desire.
This Date Night is appropriate for couples of any configuration. We hope you will join us!

"Last night we went to try the date night organized by the Couples Center. The event was targeted at starting the new year with some ideas on how to have a great relationship. The evening was great. It had a good atmosphere and a great balance between having fun, meeting other couples, while at the same time better understanding our relationship. We got some great information and great ideas on what we would like to do better this year and how to approach it. Gal and Liron coached the session and are both very calm and inspiring. We will definitely attend future events they organize. ~ EL
“I had a great experience in the premarital counseling workshop from The Couples Center. As a guy, I was very skeptical about it. But after the two-day workshop, my eyes were opened. Gal offers us great tools to build a better relationship. I believe Gal’s workshop not only can help us build a better marriage, it may change our life. Thank you, Gal!” ~ CC

The weekend opened my eyes to many things and I really appreciated the passion and sincerity Gal brings to the work.” ~ YC
