The benefits of practicing gratitude and its connection to resilience, well-being, and joy are well-established by contemplative traditions and a growing body of scientific evidence. Yet knowing what is good for us and knowing how to do it can be very different things. This experiential and interactive workshop is designed to help you taste the joy of gratitude through engaged and embodied exercises. We will explore simple practices which integrate gratitude into day-to-day moments while weaving a life-theme of wonder and interconnectedness. Cultivating an abiding sense of gratitude can reframe difficult experiences from the past, resource us in the present moment, and open us up to the delight of future possibility.

During this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Learn more about the science of gratitude

  • Explore specific gratitude practices such as meditation, mindfulness, and journaling in community

  • Create a personal gratitude journal

  • Receive a list of resources to support your personal gratitude practice

  • Savor the joy of gratitude



Please note that while the fee for the workshop helps cover the expense of offering it, everyone is welcome and no person will be turned away for lack of funds. Please contact Laura Banks if you would like to attend but the cost is prohibitive.
