Please join us at the Eventually OpenStack event on March 17th, 2014, for insight into technological advancements in the Media & Entertainment industry from leading professionals. The night will begin with refreshments and networking, followed by presentations from guest speakers:
Symantec Corp.’s Steve Hallett will discuss how the OpenStack platform for Paypal and eBay is doing worldwide for the company. Hallett helped implement the Paypal solution of Openstack. And is now building the Symantec cloud.
“What is Open Stack and Why is it Relevant in Today’s Technological Climate?” with Sean Roberts, board director at The OpenStack Foundation (who also works in Yahoo’s Infrastructure Strategy department), presenting.
Guillaume Aubuchon, the CTO of Digital Film Tree, is handling the “Practical Applications of Open Source in the M&E World” presentation, and will discuss how 100 TB a day is ingested off some TV shows, and how the right tools can help save large sums of money.
