Description

Join local historians, performing artists, events managers, and others as we plan and execute Spotsylvainia’s first African-American Living History Bus Tour. The Tour will take place on Saturday, October 20, 2018 with travelers being transported by motor coach from the JJW Museum along the African-American Heritage Trail of Spotsylvania, Virginia. By journey’s end, visitors will Explore, Discover and Experience one community’s recipe that binds hometown heroes, education and community leadership into one Colorful Journey Through Hallowed Ground.

Monthly Planning Committee Meetings are relaxed and open to the public. Come and share your ideas and experience. Attendance to each meeting is not mandatory to be on the team and we welcome Volunteers, Event Planners, Living Historians and Partnering Sponsors.

A few of the Committee’s event goals are to share an amazing history, fostering new community relationships and strengthen existing community ties. All which begins with you.

Come on. Join us! If you have questions or just can’t wait to get started on the planning contact Mrs. Denise Benedetto by email at Benedetto0401@aol.com or Ms. Clarissa Sanders, Museum Curator at CSanders.jjwmuseum@gmail.com or by phone at (540) 582-7583 extension 5545.

PS. If your schedule does not allow attendance then send a Friend!

Respectfully,

Denise Benedetto
