About The Speakers

Alan Berg 10 Ways Your Website is Killing Your Business will be conducted by Alan Berg. With more than 20 years in wedding related sales and marketing, Alan is the author of “If your website was an employee, would you fire it?” He is the founder of The Wedding Industry Leaders Conference, an organization dedicated to the educating and consulting of highly motivated individuals and businesses. Prior to that, Alan spent 11 years at The Knot, most of them as vice president, overseeing the sales, education and training of the local sales team and local wedding pros around the country.

 

David MerrellPrinciples of Event Design will be conducted by David Merrell. Since opening AOO Events in 1989, David has earned a reputation as designing some of the most innovative, cutting edge events in the business. Honored as “Designer of the Year” by Event Solutions in 2008, Merrell has also earned nine Gala Awards; seven Esprit Awards, a BizBash and a Crystal Site Award. A member of Event Solutions and BizBash Magazine’s Advisory Board, David is regularly featured in numerous trade and consumer publications and is a popular industry speaker both nationally and internationally.

 

Robin Klombers Virtual and Hybrid Events will be conducted by Robin Klombers. With over 15 years in the magazine publishing industry Robin worked her way up through ad sales to Group VP with fiscal responsibilities over multinational print publications and trade shows. Currently, Robin works with INXPO - a Virtual Events company, as their VP, Business Development where she focusing on government, association, media and education clients.

 

 

Howard Givner Negotiating with Venues will be conducted by Howard Givner, the Executive Director of the Event Leadership Institute (NY).  He previously was the founder & CEO of Paint The Town Red, Inc., a leading event & meeting management company for over 20 years, which he sold to the Global Events Group (Madrid, Spain) in 2008. Howard speaks regularly on the business elements of starting, building and growing event companies, is the In Business columnist for Event Solutions magazine, and conducts the Business Accelerator workshops at all BizBash Expos.
