About this Event

UPDATE:

Grant Workshop Attendees,

Based on guidance from the CDC regarding limiting in-person events of 50 people or more over the next 8 weeks, the Mississippi Office of Homeland Security is canceling the Grant Workshops. This will include all Grant Workshops scheduled during March through May. We will look to reschedule these events as soon as feasible or offer the information in a digital format.

We thank you for your understanding,

The Mississippi Office of Homeland Security

The Mississippi Office of Homeland Security (MOHS) in cooperation with the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) and Public Safety Planning (PSP), are jointly hosting a series of workshops to provide information and give guidance on funding opportunities available to state, local, and tribal entities. The goal of the workshop is to improve the state’s readiness in preventing, protecting against, responding to, and recovering from terrorist attacks, major disasters and other emergencies.

The workshop will cover the grant application and grant award process, allowable expenses, timelines, and tips on grant writing. Presenters will include the Executive Director of MOHS and representatives from MEMA and PSP.
